Six Months!

In 6 short months I will have TWO kids graduating from high school !

I will be taking donations of wine, beer, and hard liqueur . These will of course be used, for my own personal use, to help me not only get through the thought of them both graduating, but also to help me through the planning of their Open House.

If sending booze is not your cup of tea, I will also except gift cards to my local day spa or my soon to be needed therapist.

50. How did you get your worst scar? I was 5 years old and I was sitting on the front porch railing and fell, which caused part of the railing to go into my leg. When my mom looked at it she said you could see the muscle ! Off to the Dr. we went and I ended up with 7 stitches, still have the scar to this day.

This & That

First off to answer a few questions that were asked-

My photography classes are a distance learning class. They send me the books, audio CD's and DVD's , tests, and the assignments. I'm not under any sort of time frame to get each Unit done, I have 2 years if I need to get the entire program finished. They give you guidelines as to how long each until should take to complete, but it's a go at your own pace type of program.

I will post my photos after I get them back and they are "graded" by my instructor. I'm not even going to let my family see the pictures before I send them off. The reason being that I don't want my family and friends to tell me they look great, etc to only be let down after my instructor sees them and picks them apart telling me what I did wrong or could of done different.

The knife sharpener I got my friends is an electric one by Chef's Choice. You can buy them pretty much at any place that sells knives. They start at $50.00 and go up in price depending on the model you get and what kind of knives is sharpens. It really is worth spending the money on a good sharpener.

In other news-

We lost power last night around 6:00 and it didn't come on until after 9:00. Our entire subdivision and the one next to us was completely in the dark...... so not fun at all. Since moving here we have lost power so many times it's not funny anymore. I'm starting to think that the power company should give us a refund for every hour we are without power !

If you all could send some good thoughts to Barry and the company he works for that would be great. They passed their American inspection ,so they are now able to make and ship parts here in the states, but this week is the European inspection. The European inspection is much harder to pass then the American one ( go figure) and if they pass it they will be sitting pretty. They have all the European jobs lined up and quoted , the only thing they are waiting on is the inspection. Poor Barry put in over 70 hours last week getting ready for this inspection.

Today

I've seen this on a few blogs and thought it would be fun.

Outside my window- the sun is shining on the lake across the street and it's magical looking.

I am thinking- about if I want to go to back to bed now that Oldest Son M has left for summer school.

I am thankful for- air conditioning since they say it's going to be 90 today.

From the kitchen- grilled zesty lime chicken, garlic red skinned potatoes & fresh green beans for dinner tonight.

I am creating- a new blog design for my photography blog.

I am wearing- grey shorts and a navy blue t-shirt

I am going- to make myself a cappuccino if I don't go back to bed.

I am reading- photography school books during the day and The Six Wives of Henry VIII at night.

I am hoping- I can figure out what to take photos of for my photography class.

I am hearing- the cat meow at some birds outside.

Around the house- floors that need to be vacuumed and swept.

One of my favorite things- how quite it is in the house right now even with the cat meowing at the birds.

A few plans for the rest of the week- more photography class work, paint the railing on the front porch, stain the steps to the sunroom, not have a heat stroke, go to the farmers market on Saturday, relax.

Me, Me, Me

*I have almost no feeling in the tip of my left hand pointer finger. I cut it open 17 years ago when I was a manager at Arby's.

* I dip my G.S. Thin Mint cookies in lime sherbet.

* I was an only grand child for 18 years.

* My parents were married when they were 17 and were married 25 years before my mom died.

* Once my Uncle dies ( mom's brother) I will have no living family on her side.

* My mom turned 18 exactly 1 week before I was born.

* Sexy Stud is 11 years & 7 months ( almost to the day) older than me.

* Sexy Stud is older then two of my Uncle's.

* Not including the USA , I've been to 5 different countries.

* Before Oldest Son M was born I was going to art school.

* I was never married to either of Oldest Son M or Daughter A's fathers. Something I'm not proud of but at least I didn't have to go through a messy divorce.

I really hope that is the case because I've got 2 good things that have happened in the last few days...... and I'm shooting for #3

#1 The other day I was in a really good mood and I think it just showed on my from head to toe. As I was walking into Subway this guy , I was say in his late 40's early 50's opened the door for me. I said my normal Thank You and he says to me..... " I always hold a door open for a sexy woman". I'm sure I blushed as I smiled and walked away.

#2 I just got back from the gas station, we needed ice..... long story short we don't have an ice maker and I HATE filling trays. Anyway as I'm standing there paying for the ice the guy behind the counter says to me..... " You smell wonderful" I thanked him and he says...... " No thank you, you made my day" .

So here's to #3...4.....5....6....7......... ..................

Could You Tell?

Could you tell yesterday that I was bored? When I'm bored I tend to make way to many posts in one day.

That happens when-

The Hub's is in Arkansas for yet another Easter and spends his day working from "home". Which means I hardly got to talk to him.

Son M spent his Easter with his Dad

Daughter K had to work

Daughter A spent the entire day texting with her friends about how bored they all were at their family gatherings

B-Monkey spent most of his day playing outside with friends

J-Bird spent his day like he always does- playing games on the computer.

Which left me to make a ton of posts on my blog lol

But I did manage to cook a full Easter dinner, complete with homemade brownies- no box mix for this girl.

Back up all my iTunes ( can you say took FOREVER!)

Back up all my photos on my external hard drive ( can you say FOREVER again !)

Took a soak in the hot tub. With all the neighbors looking at me like I was strange. Um hello we bought the darn thing to use, so I'm going to use it Thank You very much.

Polished off an entire bottle of wine by myself. Which is something I never do! Normally I just have a glass a day until the bottle is gone But for some reason yesterday I just kept pouring. Oh well I slept really good last night lol

So that was my Easter in an egg shell lol

Today I'm sitting here watching the rain and listening to B-Monkey & J-Bird fight over the computer. Is it Tuesday yet?
