Stacie asked me what kind of chocolates the husband got me for Valentine's day. So just for you Stacie here is the run down.

Mint Traditions- Liquid mint surrounds dark creamy chocolate all inside a chocolate shell *

Midnight Medley- Creamy rich dark chocolate encapsulated by a round chocolate shell *

Mocha Medley- Our dark chocolate swirled shell holds silky mocha truffle filling

Coco-Citrus- Dark chocolate encases a tongue tingling melange of orange an cocoa

Raspberry Dash- Raspberry puree is blended with chocolate inside a cocoa dusted shell *

Champagne Delight- A touch of champagne blended with creamy chocolate inside a sugar dusted shell*

Always Almond- A harmonious mix of almond and soft chocolate draped in milk chocolate

Milky Chocolaty- Truffled milk chocolate inside a milk chocolate shell simply luxurious

Carmel Oasis- A creamy carmel milk chocolate filled inside a hardened chocolate orb

Peanut Butter Medley-Milk chocolate and peanut fragments encapsulate creamy peanut butter*

Hazelnut Delight- Hazelnut pieces and chocolate surround a creamy hazelnut/chocolate filling

Tropical Decadence-Tropical coconut and gourmet cocoa blended together in a milk chocolate shell *

* I have tried all of these and WOW are the only word I can say.

The Valentine's Day gift that the husband sent me just arrived a little while ago. He sent me this out of this world box of chocolates from ones of those little chocolate companies that make their creations daily. It's the kind of chocolate that you only eat one piece a day to make it last forever. But I couldn't help but bust a gut when I opened up the box and saw this...........

Valentine's Day

I am down right refusing to put Happy in front of Valentine's Day. While I'm sure it is a happy day for many in the world, for me it's anything but happy. Well maybe that's going a little bit to far, so lets just say that I'm not thrilled about today. 

While I do have a Valentine  that loves me...... he's 488 miles away right now and that just sucks! He told me to be on the look out for something today, which I'm sure I will love , but it's still not the same as having him here. 

What really sucks is that our traditional Valentine's Day celebration won't happen this year. Back when are kids were small, we would wait until they all went to bed to have our Valentine's dinner. We would order some yummy food, he would pick it up and we would eat it picnic style in the family room. Even after we had "built in" teenage babysitters we continued this tradition. 

While I'm sure I will live through this day ( I lived through him not being here on our anniversary ) right now I just feel like sulking. 

So to all of you who do have a Valentine - hug them extra tight today. And to all of you who don't have one- have an extra glass of wine on me.

That Sucked

I just put the husbands Valentines Day card in the mail. This is our first Valentines Day apart....... and it sucks already. I survived our 13th wedding anniversary without him being here, so I suppose I'll survive this....... still sucks though.
