The waiting for Barry's check saga is over!
The waiting for Barry's check saga is over!
Barry moved into a new rental house last week. It's in a better part of town , much bigger, and has a garage.
There is no sugar coating this to make it not suck as much.
Barry's 18 month contract ended yesterday and today he signed a new one.
I'm back from the weekend visit with The Husband.
The Husband made it home safe and sound yesterday evening.
He'll be here until Sunday morning.
So if you need me....... you know where to find me :0)
Have a great weekend !
I got some exciting news last night and thought I would share it with you all.
Around 10:30 last night I was in bed and my cell rings, it's The Husbands ring. So, I get up to answer it and he says
" Sorry to wake you but (His Boss) just called and he needs me to be in Rockford, Illinois for a few days to dig into a few problems, so I will be home this weekend"
This is very exciting news because he wasn't going to come home until sometime in May. While he will probably only be here Friday night and Saturday. We will still get to see him for a little while and that is good news in my book.
The Hub's sent me this today. Happy Easter to Me ! LOL
The Hub's sent me a early morning e-mail today to inform me that he had brought The Beast over to his rental to give it a bath.
Trophies that The Beast has won
First trophy won ( second from the right) was 2nd place custom. He knew as soon as he saw what the judges rode that he didn't stand a chance of winning 1st. They all rode fully dressed Harley Davidson's and that was the kind of bike that won. Oh well a win was a win.
The Husband and The Beast ( AKA the bike) made it to Arkansas safely. While I'm not happy the bike is gone, I am happy it made it there in one piece.
I have a few funny stories to share with you about The Husbands travels.
Normally when he's traveling back to Arkansas I call him every few hours just to say HI and to see how things are going. This time around I told him that I wouldn't bother him since he had the added stress of pulling The Beast behind him. I asked him to call me when he stopped for gas, etc. so I knew he was doing OK.
Anyway around lunch time my cell rings and it was his ring so I answered it. His first words were
" Want to buy a bike?"
Me: Why?
Him: " Want to buy a bike really cheep"
Me: Why?- By this time my brain is thinking what's wrong with the bike, but he must be OK since he has called me. And I continue to say Why about a million times
Him: " Well I saw something that will be forever burned into my brain and the bike had something to do with it"
Me: Why?
Him: " I was driving along and this pick up truck with two women pulled up along side and the passenger flashed me and ( how will I put this ...... she was REALLY FLUFFY) they were the size of footballs but not in a good way".
Me: after I stopped laughing..... Glad to hear that the bike hasn't lost its touch LOL
Moving along....
His rental doesn't have a garage so The Beast is being stored at one of the guys he works with house. He has a 3 car garage and offered to let him store it in the same bay as his vintage Corvette, so The Husband knew it would be in good hands.
Anyway he was to met up with the guy at 10:00 last night ,so he had to go back to his rental since he got in around 7:00 last night. His neighbors already think some pretty strange things about him so I knew him pulling up with The Beast was going to be good.
A few examples of the strange things are: Most of his neighbors think he either is or works for " The God Father" if you catch my movie meaning here. They told his landlord this and he later told The Husband. His landlord works for the same company he does so he knows the truth about what The Husband does for a living.
Then a few weeks ago The Husband was outside without his shirt on and one of the kids( around 7 or 8 years old) came up to him and said " My Pastor told me that people with tattoos are going to Hell"
The Husband replied to him" You tell your Pastor that it doesn't matter what a person looks like on the outside that determines if they go to Hell or not. And that your Pastor needs to quit spreading such lies to little kids like you" I guess the kid turned white as a ghost and ran home.
Anyway back to him pulling into his rental
He pulls in and his neighbors being ever so nosey all looked outside and once they saw the bike they quickly pulled their drapes closed. Then as he's getting all his stuff out of the van the same "Hell Boy" kid comes up to him and says " Is that Spiderman?" The Husband speechless just says NO it's not.
How on earth the kid thought The Beast looked like Spiderman I will never know. Does this look anything like Spiderman to you?
Fun that was the theme for this weeks You Capture.
Fun is such an subjective word. What I find fun may be completely different from what you find fun. So I thought it would be fun to show you a nano fraction of some things I find fun. And to also see just how many times I can use the word fun in one post. LOL
Spending almost an entire week with The Husband was fun. We laughed, talked, had many lunch dates, shared bottles of wine and had several midnight soaks in the hot tub.
Sadly I just said good bye to him and he is now on his way back to Arkansas. Behind him he's transporting something he finds extremely fun. If your a reader of my blog you know how I feel about that, but I won't get into that here. I will ask that you say a little prayer that he and the beast make it there in one piece.
Moving on...
I find cooking fun. Chopping, mixing, stirring, creating. It's all fun to me
The only thing better than creating the meal is eating the fruits of labor.
Followed by eating some kind of chocolate, which is also fun.
While sitting still for hours isn't fun, nor is dealing with the after care. I do find The Husbands & my tattoos a lot of fun. Please excuse the crappy photo of mine, it was taken with my webcam.
But what is really fun is reading comments on my blog. So leave one and I'll love you forever.
Hello my blog readers, I'm still alive. Just enjoying my time with The Husband.
Just got a text from The Husband " Not exactly sure when I'm leaving but I will be home for most or all of next week !"
I sent him a text back " Ok, are you going to surprise me or will you tell me when your coming home?"
His reply " I'll no more when I finish some things up tomorrow"
Me: " Good because you know I have to make sure the other man is out of the house" * I'm joking with him & he knows it *
Him: " 3 way?"
Me:" Ummmmm..... NO! "
Him: " Well just make sure he's gone by the time I get there "
Me: " Ok will do"
So in other words he's coming home, but I don't know when and for how long. Talk about leaving a girl hanging !
I know I've talked a little about The Husbands bike before, but this post has me filled with mixed feelings about it.
I've always thought of the bike as his baby, since he did bring life to it by building it from the ground up. What started out as just a bunch of pieces became one kick ass piece of work.
I have never been one of those wives that gets upset when their husband wants to go for a ride. In fact, I have been that total opposite. I've been the one telling him that he should go for a ride, I would always tell him you built the darn thing go ride it because what's the point of having it if you don't ride it. It wouldn't take much arm twisting before he was all geared up and heading down the road.
With him in Arkansas and the bike being here, his ride times have been few and far between. Last summer he only rode a handful of time, because it seemed like every time he was able to come home it either rained or there was other things had had to be done. Because of this he has decided that he wants to take the bike down to Arkansas with him, and this is where the mixed feelings come in.
Part of me knows that it's a good thing. The riding season is longer and he loves that fact. It may just be what he needs after a long day at work..... just him and the open road.
The other part of me is screaming NO you can't take the bike down there. It's like having a part of him here all the time. Yes, I know that his flesh and blood children are here, but this is a different part of him. It's his bad boy side , the side I love, the side that makes me tingle from head to toe with excitement. Whenever I walk in the garage and see the bike I just smile thinking about him coming home from a ride. The way he smells...... his leathers, the fresh air, the testosterone pumping through his body..... it well very erotic to me. Plus there's the whole sound thing. I LOVE the sound of his bike. I can hear it a mile away and know he's on his way home.
With the possibility of him coming home this weekend, I will have to face these feelings head on. Because when he leaves to go back to Arkansas ,the bike will more than likely will be going back with him.
It's always the silly little things isn't it?
The Husband is always sending me pictures of his dinner, so I thought I would send him a few pictures of our dinner tonight.
The Husband has two major problems at work right now, one is fixed and he's working on the other one as I type this. They were found do to them being inspected by the American Rail Industry in order to get their certification.
I'm still a little tired from the drive home from Arkansas but........
